Re: Paint and bird droppings.

Hi mar5uk Sorry to hear about your paintwork, I have had similar problems on my amazonite grey 3008 on the black diamond roof. unfortunately I did not notice it on the day it happened which was very sunny and hot, it got baked onto the paintwork making it very difficult to remove. It did not go righ...

Re: Boot won't open

Hello again Morrisgp Further to my last post I got my wife to lock me in the boot, I soon realised that I needed a torch. I always keep a small screwdriver in the (useless) glove compartment. There is a small recess at the top of the locking catch, if you look down into it you will see a small white...

Re: Boot won't open

Hi Morrisgp, When I collected my car I was shown an emergency boot release. I'm a bit foggy but I seem to remember you take a small screwdriver and insert it into a slot next to the locking mechanism inside the boot. This is obviously awkward to get at so presumably you would need to put the rear se...

Re: Stop start problem

Some months ago there was some discussion on Start/Stop eco mode on the new 3008. At that time one member who went under the name of 'Hightower' was going to contact his dealer to see if this mode could be disabled permanently rather than having to turn it off every time the engine was restarted. I ...

Re: Rear Brake Pads

I have just traded my Honda CRV in with 52,000 miles with the original rear break pads. the secret is to keep your distance and let your accelerator do the braking.

Re: Cleaning new 30008

Thanks Deccadick, That may be worth a try. I am still a little confused as I looked up Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care and it states for internal use, then they show it being used on the outside rear of a car. I know these products only last for so long before re-treating; do you feel Vinyl & Rub...

Re: Cleaning new 30008

Thanks for your reply Gazman, Yes, I have always found Autoglym to be a very good product which is the one I always used on my Honda, but I feel the plastic trim on the Peugeot is of a different nature and the dirt appears to penetrate deeper, I would be interested to know if others find it a proble...

Cleaning new 30008

I take great care cleaning my Amazonite Grey 3008. I use a soft brush with hose to remove the dirt from the lower black areas and wheels then wash the remaining paintwork with a soft hand mitt and car shampoo, the paintwork always looks lovely but the black trim underneath the doors and around the w...

Re: Advanced Grip Control

Thanks for your reply, it is reassuring to know that it would be useful in the snow. My last two cars have been four wheel drive and they were brilliant in the snow so I was a bit apprehensive about the Advanced Grip Control on the 3008.
Enjoy yours, I am really pleased with mine.

Re: Dimming of i cook and Touchscreen

Hi Foxcubs, Have just found an old post dated Sept 5th by JDH Re: dimming dashboard. You may have already sorted this but for the benefit of others trying to do this the instructions are as follows. Start engine and turn on headlights. Press any piano key, then press the cog at the upper right of th...
