A word of warning..... when you use ACC you will never ever want a car without it.... it will be the first option you look for next time you order a car!
I have the GT Line Premium and it’s superb.

Re: manual mode in EAT8
I use the M button and the paddles but on previous cars I had the option, when in “manual mode”, to use either the paddles or the gear lever... it took a bit to get used to not using the gear lever when on previous vehicles I could use either paddles or gear lever. Now I’ve got used to it it’s fine ...

Re: manual mode in EAT8
I only use it for engine braking on steep descents. It’s the only manual override of an automatic gearbox I have come across when you ONLY have paddle-shifts. Usually you have the gearstick option as well.... so BEWARE don’t move the gearshift into neutral by accident as I did, expecting to be able ...

Re: 13 amp socket
I hoped it might just take longer to heat up! However as you suggest if the fuse doesn’t blow, things might get very hot indeed!!

13 amp socket
Has anyone used the 13amp socket on the back of the armrest?
It might be a silly question but does anyone know if I plug in an item which is above the max wattage, will it..... (a) Blow the fuse or (b) Take longer for my coffee (or whatever) to brew?

Re: Vehicle Lead Times
My 1.6 3008 GTLine EAT8 with options took exactly 12 weeks from date of order to delivery.
Funnily enough my wife’s 2008 1.2 Allure EAT6 with about every option available also took 12 weeks.

Re: Automatic EAT8 Vs EAT6 engine
Hi, What technology using in EAT gearbox? Is this same as dual clutch? Thank you My comments may be a bit late but..... I have had several cars with the VAG DSG gearbox. I currently have a new 3008 1.6 with the EAT 8 box and a 2008 1.2 petrol with the EAT 6 box and I prefer them to the DSG. The 1.2...

Re: 1.6 Pure Tech 180 Eat 8 performance
I have had my 1.6 Pure Tech 180 EAT 8 form a few days and am very pleased indeed with it. My last car was a Karoq 1.5 DSG petrol and have to say it had the VAG problem on the 1.5 they don’t seem to be able to fix. I had three updates and it still faltered when engine was cold and mine also had inter...

Re: Wheel protection
I have used Collinite 845 Insulator Wax (available from Amazon) on both Diamond Cut and Powder Coated alloys and have to say the results have been superb.... Brake dust hoses off with ease and it has lasted for three years on my wife's 2008.
OK it's not cheap but no need to keep re-applying
