Hi Guys, I have a 64 3008. My rear wiper moves when I open tailgate. It will not work off column. I changed fuse and it worked for one day. Fuse doesn't appear to be blown, tailgate will open. If I take fuse out the tailgate will not open.

Any ideas

Hi. Sorry no not found a solution. Funny enough I had another look today but still no joy. I've already replaced wiper motor. What I did find that when the wiper motor is disconnected, you cannot open the tailgate. Next I'm going to check the wiring harness fron the tailgate to inside the car when I have time. We took it to an auto electrician. He not seen the fault before. He wants £50 an hour to look. So hoping to find a solution.

Cheers for replying. Our maintenance man at work is good with electrics. He is going to check wiring and earth when he gets the chance. Will post if we find anything.

I found the problem tonight. It was a broken earth wire in the rubber boot on the left of the tailgate. There are two earth wires. One is for the heated rear window. The other is for wiper and lock. The wire was broken where it enters the tailgate after pulling back the rubber boot at the tailgate side. Pulling back the rubber boot where it enters the roof the earth wire was fine so do look at both ends of the boot. I hope this helps you fix yours.

Hi all. Every so often when I start my 3008 automatic and put it in drive it wont move. I have to try it a few times or wait a few minutes before it will eventually go into gear and move off. Seems the auto gearbox failure is common where it jumps out of first gear occasionally. A friend told me I may need a software upgrade. Can anyone shed any light on this matter.
Thanks. Bob.
