Handbrake

Hi, purchased my 64 plate 3008 yesterday and all was fine till today when it seems I can't put the handbrake on maually, but it will work automatically ?
When I pull up the switch to use manually I get three lights up on the dash flashing and on the radio display it says parking brake fault ? Could this be a faulty switch ?

Yes I have the same problem and I have ordered a new switch from E Bay hopefully it will work
