Has anyone used the 13amp socket on the back of the armrest?
It might be a silly question but does anyone know if I plug in an item which is above the max wattage, will it..... (a) Blow the fuse or (b) Take longer for my coffee (or whatever) to brew?

I would like to think it would blow the fuse rather than burn out some wiring or worse.

I hoped it might just take longer to heat up! However as you suggest if the fuse doesn’t blow, things might get very hot indeed!!

I have just checked the online owners manual and the max output is 150 watts, no where near enough to make you a coffee. It seems to me the power available here is really neither here nor there, plenty to charge your laptop or operate a TV set but not a lot else.

I have used the rear socket to power a dash cam I have in the rear window.
