Wiper Stalk Functions 3008 1.5 bluehdi gt line

Hi all
I hope someone will be able to throw some light on a question with the wiper control stalk, I have noticed that it seems to have some kind of "click" when you push it forwards, I presume that it is a switch but cant see what it does. Can anybody help ?

I've just checked the online manual page 152 and there is no mention of an event when the stalk is pushed forwards.

I couldn't find anything either, intrigued to know if anybody can throw some light on this?

The button on the end of the wiper stalk is used for 2 things:
1- it displays the data of the trips first "trip1" then "trip 2" as set by you telling you how many miles or km you traveled and yor average speed and average fuel consumption
2- it can be used to zero your service counter with a certain process
