Update on my gearbox issue. Recently the dealership were given permission by Peugeot to replace the gearbox. It hasn't really made much difference and the noise is still there.

I sold the car back to Peugeot and bought an Automatic version in the end

I was thinking about such a solution, but the loss of value of the car is too high and why does the customer have to bear the costs of poor gear shifting? failure in the approach to solving the problem by Peugeot.
Best regards.

Updating my situation. after 12000km and the whine increased and moved It went down from 60 km to 45 km where it is more audible. The dealer argues that this is normal gearbox operation, it is a failure

Same as mine and it got worse day by day until I could not stand the whine anymore. Even the radio could not block the horrible noise at 40mph and below.
I managed to swap the car with an automatic of a similar age so it didn’t really cost me much extra. I’m very happy with the automatic gearbox.

Hi I have a 2017 plate manual 3008. I have a rattle from the rear of the car that sounds like the exhaust hitting somewhere, like a mounting bracket broken. Took up on ramp as had two new tyres fitted and exhaust fittings are fine!
I have empties the boot, etc etc etc but I cannot find this rattle - bloody annoying!
Any suggestions???

Hi, man! Can you tell your story? Can you give us some details? Number of fix in Peugeot CRM System or something like this?
I can't proof my dealer, that the noise is not normal.
They keep saying that there is no fix for this issue. It is "Tolerance noise, construction conditions".

Hey Sigoru,

Not my car..it's just a guy from youtube. I've saw multiple 3008 and C5 videos for pov driving with manual gearboxes and it seems that the whine is not there anymore. My assumption was that the finally got new parts :)

Wow, Mahay, but only several cars have this issue. For example 1 of 1000. Do you know this youtuber? Maybe he just haven´t ever had this issue?
