Hi,

Has anybody on here got any 'ROCK Solid' fuel economy figures for a 3008 - 1.5 Diesel EAT 8?

I'm collecting mine in early December, after a mix-up with my previous order back in May. I notice some links on the net state between 49-54MPG on Urban driving, while others state 60 Plus?

Mine will be used for mainly motorway driving Mon-Fri, and urban over the weekends - thank you.

Kind Regards,

Not quite what you want but my new EAT6 1.6 Petrol achieved 7.1 litres / 100km =40mpg over a 2000 km recent trip between Melb and Sydney. Some city driving but a lot at 110kmph (65 mph).

Line in the sand for you

I've had my 1.5 EAT8 diesel since April and I do a regular 53 mile commute to and from work Monday to Friday, with fuel figures of 62 MPG on a daily basis. I keep cruise control on at 62 mph on the motorway, the rest of the journey is over 30 mph, 40 mph and a national speed limit dual carriageway. Weekends around town the figures drop off to the mid 40's mpg. The 1.5 is much better on motorways and, the 1.2 is better around town. I hope this helps. By the way, there's a Peugeot app that you can get, it'll ask you for your vin number and tracks your fuel figures for you. After 6 months of use, my car is averaging 59.6 mpg, which I'm very pleased with.

I'm guessing the app is for UK only??

Thank you Davepet,

It's very interesting to be reading this!

The vehicle is to be collected on December 2nd and I'll be keeping a close eye on the figures. I'm always keen to get the best economy from the vehicle, but never scrimp on being a lightweight on the throttle. I often commute to London, a round trip of some 400 miles which'll give me a much better idea of it's motorway economy and performance etc.

Kind regards,

I have the manual 1.5 diesel and have had wildly varying mpg figures. Worst monthly avg of 32mpg which did include 2 80mile return trips. My renault clio 1.5 diesel under similar conditiins is doing 49mpg so somethings not right. Best tho was 79mpg in france driving on A roads in summer on a 90 mile return. Motorway appears to be high 60s in summer on long journeys and doesn't go higher inbetween 62 and 68mph. So a mixed bag really. Will keep with the diesel tho as this is markedly more torquey esp low down than my previous 1.6ehdi which makes it a doddle to drive around town.

I’ve been driving both the petrol 1.2 manual and the Diesel automatic mainly on motorway. Same journey for both cars.
Petrol 3008 manual was 43mpg
Diesel 3008 auto was 53mpg

My 1.5 diesel EAT8 is only a week old and has just covered 130 miles, mainly short 1/2 mile runs to the shops. Showing up as 40.3mpg at average speed of 20mph.
