Took delivery of my new 3008 Allure on the1st March, being a bit of a fussy person I decided to check that all the specifications were as per the brochure and to my surprise there was one omission, under Exterior Features it states guite clearly that Stanless Steel scuff plates come fitted, not on mine.Contacted the dealership was given all sorts of excuses and explanations, said they would investigate and get back to me,waited a week ,in the end contacted Peugeot Customer care direct, they promised to get back to me with an answer within 24 hrs, which they did and confirmed that it was a manufacturing fault and they would be fitted.2months down the line am still waiting. So to all you Allure and above owners check your specifications,it may only be a small item but you are paying for it and it adds to the appearance of the car.

Now that's interesting, MIB, as the current brochure (May 17 - http://media.peugeot.co.uk/file/98/0/ne ... 127980.pdf) shows on page 3 that the Allure has the SS door sill scuff plates but on page 13, right hand side column under exterior features it shows that they're only available on the GT Line and GT versions. Bit of a contradiction. I've just been and checked my Allure and they're definitely there.

Very interesting,Bassetlady,so yours are fitted, I intend to pursue this to the bitter end, my cousin took delivery of the same model 2 weeks ago and his are without, instead of speaking to the dealer he contacted Peugeot customer care direct and they gave him the same answer as you point out in your brief. Just another small matter the day after I took delivery I went trough the car with a a small tooth comb and discovered 3 minor faults namely,n/s/f alloy wheel couple of pitted marks, n/s/r small scuff mark, drivers seat pad stained, dealership forwarded photos to Peugeot for clarification, still waiting for a reply.Any comments folks!!!

MIB. I'm so sorry but I have noticed today that I don't have stainless steel door sill scuff plates. I took a photo of my car before I actually received it and the scuff plates looked to be SS. After your post above I decided to check to see if what I had told you was correct and the scuff plates are actually black plastic/rubber with "Peugeot" written on. I'm so sorry to have misled you especially as the brochure contradicts itself too (as described in my previous message).

Please accept my apologies. Incidentally I've just double checked the photo and I've asked someone else for their opinion and we both would still say that those scuff plates were stainless steel. Unfortunately I can't fathom out how to post the photo on here to show you but if you send me your email address by Personal Message I will send you the photo and you can tell me what you think.

Hi Mninblack,
I would be interested to know how things are progressing with regards to Stainless Steel Scuff Plates on your new 3008 Allure. I have also been in touch with Peugeot Customer Care as they are not fitted to mine. They inform me that they have been in touch with the 3008 Product Manager and he has confirmed that the ss scuff plates do not come as standard on the allure which is contradictory to the printed specification given to me by the dealership. Strange no one mentions a miss-print.

I have just noticed that the recent specification June 2017 shows that the scuff plates are only available on the GT line and GT, whereas the specification I was given before ordering my car in January shows them as standard on the Allure. If Peugeot wish to retain customer trust I feel they should consider honouring this mistake on the early orders before the new specification was printed.

Hi Wheelchap
Couldn't agree more, ordered mine on the 29th Feb,the brochure which the dealership provided me with clearly showed under prices and specs that ss scuff plates were a fitted item,I contacted customer care immeadiatly i took delivery and pointed this out, within 24 hrs they got back to me and confirmed the would be fitted, however everytime I speak with the dealership the reply is "awaiting customisation".However I'm at the dealership 2morrow hopefully to have TomTom live services intalled,( I say hopefully because this has been going on since I took delivery on March 1st) If there is still no confirmation of this item then once again I'll contact c c.
PS. been on Peugeot website and like you noticed that the scuff plates are now only fitted to the GT line and GT,I intend to pursue this item to the bitter end, because lets be honest SS lookes better than plastic. Will keep you informed.

Hi All just returned from holiday an informed by the dealership that the scuff plates have arrived and waiting for me to arrange a date to have them fitted, when asked how long the fitting would take told a couple of hours depending on how Jong it took for the testing to go off😗.I think I will reserve judgement as they haven't carried out this replacement before, apparently I'm the Guinness pig for this replacement, will let your know how it went.As for the the sat-nav,keep loosing"tomtom traffic" reverting to TMC, any suggestions??
