Recently became aware of Peugeot TSB's after a malfunction on a 19 plate 3008 GT Line 35k.
From what I have discovered TSB's are something that is not revealed to a potential buyer during the "test drive" or "prior to purchase" negotiations but can be rectified under a special Peugeot warranty at no cost to the owner if the fault actually occurs. I'm familiar with "factory recalls" etc and how owners are notified and the problem rectified but these TSB's are surrounded with some secrecy and are not revealed to potential buyers.
The TSB in question is to do with the "Cam and Crank sensor" OBD Error codes. I would like to know when this problem was first identified by Peugeot as my local dealership has had several incidents in the last few years and why they didn't activate a recall for a fault that can require an engine replacement ( Under Peugeot Warranty) if the vehicle has been serviced and maintained correctly. Also, does this fault occur on other versions eg. 2008, 5008 etc?
My dealership along with Peugeot Customer Relations are doing an amazing job to sort this out and return my car which has been off the road for almost 4 weeks.
